Tom,

You can no longer restart the Image service? What happens when you try to start it? Does it gives you any errors, any messages? Or, according to this event viewer log, it tries to start, without success?

Did you make sure that Image has the proper admin credentials? Go in Workflow, in Tools->Configure Services, and if you have local system account, uncheck it, and enter the proper domain and user name. User must have admin rights, and should ideally be the same that you're using in your Windows session.

If that doesn't help, have you tried reinstalling Image? Does that helps? Also, if it was working before, what has changed? Did you update anything on your system? Did you do any changes to users permissions or to your network? Any hardware changes?

Let us know!

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

weird...Image & Messenger both show the same user name in the credentials.
So I changed Image to local and was then able to start it up!

Tom,

That's strange. Normally, it shouldn't cause any problems to have both Messenger and Image uses the same credentials, and in fact, it's how it should be. When you go to Tools->Configure Services, it applies to all the services, including Image and Messenger. Also, using Image under Local could cause problems if you are trying to put pdf files on a shared network drive, for example, or if yout try to do emailing.

Make sure the user you are using has admin credentials, and also make sure the domain name is right. It's also recommended to login as the same user that you are using for service credentials information.

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre
